Get the Blake mug.Rather than focus on the phenotypical nature associated with "Blackenese"-ness, I'd rather expand the definition to include any/all feelings of disconnect that a person might experience, especially relating to his/her socio-cultural and/or socio-racial background. In this way, "blackenese" might actually stand in for "liminality" but, in a specifically ethnic/racial/cultural context. Thereby, a person's physicality becomes irrelevant. It doesn't matter whether or not one is physically displaying characteristics that are considered to be either "Black" or "East Asian," what will matter most is the interior/internal conflict experienced by all those who feel polarized by the categories imposed upon them by the dominant mainstream.

Intelligent, but doesn't always use his intelligence for the best purposes. Occupies a privileged position of (self-appointed?) superiority that makes him (often unfairly) critical of others.
Skin deep, a lover of classic films and cult hits alike, a music freak, a theater geek, and a writer. Likes black and goth and metal apparel. Has long hair, kept as neatly as possible on good days. Is of average attractiveness. Perhaps somewhat above-average.
Past the first layer is a persona concocted primarily to keep distance between himself and others. Superior, abrasive, arrogant, caustic, and vaguely unpleasant in a general sense. This means that most people don't get too close, but those that do are worth befriending.
Deeper still lurks a person ruled by contradictions. A dark romantic who believes in multiple true loves, but also is haunted by the fear that no one will ever fit just right. Paradoxically a possessor of both a superiority and inferiority complex. A liberal fountain of advice on all matters of love and life, but cannot take his own advice well. Advocates free expression, but probably couldn't even tell someone that he loves them without coaxing.

Get the Blake mug.Kaiden Blake was one of the original scene kings years back but left the internet for a long period of time. He came back and was recently recruited by Clint Catalyst (another scene king) to the Renegades Of Style with people like Audrey Kitching and Linda Strawberry. He used to write on myspace and his blogs would go to #1. He has music written and recorded by him floating around on the internet and has become a popular search on both google and youtube. He talks to all the other scene kings (Clint, Matthew Lush, Alex Evans, Chris Crocker, etc) and models as well. His hair changes more times than some people change underwear but the crazy fangirls love him for it.
