bakudeku slime was a phrase that youtuber Pixeldrink (go sub) made one time on stream. he grew widely popular from it in mid-2024. he was making slime on stream cosplaying as Bakugou from My Hero Academia. bakudeku - ship name for characters Izuku Midoriya x Katsuki Bakugou.

BakuDeku

A term originating from the My Hero Academia/Boku no Hero Academia fandom. BakuDeku is the ship name for Katsuki Bakugo and Izuku Midoriya. The ship is very divisive among fans, with some being massive fans and others being massive haters. The order of the names indicates who the top and who the bottom is, with Katsuki being the top and Izuku being the bottom in this case. However, within the actual series, all evidence points towards this ship being the last possible outcome. With Katsuki physically abusing Izuku in the first scene of the show/first panel of the manga, and telling him to kill himself in the exact same episode/chapter. While Izuku has never been confirmed to be straight or gay, the evidence points towards the conclusion that there's no world where Izuku would reciprocate feelings for Katsuki due to his abusive nature, even if he did get better later on in the series. Essentially, it's the yaoi version of Hetslop.

Person A: Hey man, do you ship Bakudeku?
Person B: What? No. Izuku wouldn't even like Bakugo like that...
Person A: You're crazy man, they so obviously have crushes on each-other.
