A Hoverdad is a dad that when you are with your boyfriend/girlfriend/love interest just kinda hovers around to see what's going on.

Boy: "Hey babe let's get to know each other a little better."
Girl: "I'd like to but your dad is creeping me out."
Boy: "Get the hell out of here hoverdad!"

People in the clothing store while your looking at a sale rack, and they ignorantly start moving and looking at clothing right were you are standing.

When you send someone a defective electronic that catches fire and burns their house down, usually by mistake. It's the bigger and more random brother to waterboarding.

I sent my nephews a laser tag kit, it caught fire and burned their house down. Guess I hoverboarded them.
