Josie

josie is not really a name, more like a way to call somebody when they are the person you love most in the world. a josie is somebody you can cry to without feeling too weird about it, somebody who makes you laugh so hard you can't breathe and your stomach starts hurting, somebody you want to hug and never let go. josie is the person you stay up until 3am talking to, the person you tell every stupid thing that happened to you that day, the person you can't stop thinking about even when you're trying to. josie is the person you write paragraphs about that never sound good enough, the person you can't explain to anyone else without getting a little too emotional about it. josie is for when you want to hold someone's face in your hands and just stare at them because you don't have words big enough for how much you care. josie is wanting to tell someone every single thought that passes through your head just so they can know you better. josie is the person you want to grow old with but also the person who makes you feel like a kid again. josie is every song that makes you ache, every stupid thing you laugh at, every time you accidentally smile at your phone because of them.

having a josie feels like having a home that walks around and talks back. josie is somebody you trust with your worst moments and your best ones, and they still look at you the same. calling someone josie means they are your favorite human, your safe place, your whole heart.
