A combination of "Doofus" and "Dingbat"
Someone who is so stupid that they are completely oblivious to their surroundings.

For instance, say your friend is trying to solve a simple math problem, but can't. He is just sitting there staring at it without paying attention to anything else. Someone would come over and say,
"Hey man, what's up with your friend? He's acting like a real Doofbat."
