In today's culture of texting, especially among adolescents, there is a phenomenon where the person sets their phone to vibrate for a text. They will think their phone is vibrating (to alert a text) in their pocket or elsewhere, but their phone isn't.

If you keep thinking your cell phone is vibrating for a text, and it isn't, then you may have textophrenia

ambi-texting is the art of texting after you have taken an Ambien. You never fully realize what you've tried to text until the next morning when you check your history and can't make out the meaning.

Novel Texting

When the person you are texting does not want to have an actual phone conversation so you have to write a lot rather then just being able to say it.

Lucy was crying all night because Brad broke up with her. I tried to call her but she wouldn't answer so I was novel texting her for about an hour.

Bobby was novel texting Cindy the other night because she couldn't talk on the phone. He was trying to convince her to sneak out to go to a party.
