Ego-gasms, the joy and euphoria produced from the dopamine hit from self validation, as portrayed by Tom Hanks after making fire in the movie Castaway. Soccer stars often display such feelings of elation after kicking a goal.

Sadly, such feelings of joy over self validation run both positively and negatively and include acts of self validation by invalidating others , bullying. The APA's DSM V lists "gratification" in the traits for "Antisocial Personality Disorder".

I had ego-gasms for a week after getting an article published.
Bullying is an addiction to ego-gasms from harming others, all forms of abuse are simply tools.

This guy at the Office he keeps being ego-testical by trying to tell us of how he is the best at everything. If possible he would pull a bannon every second of every day and whip it out in front of everyoe to see. What a shameless bastard.
