Colonizer

Colonizer is a descriptive term for someone who believes in and perpetuates ideas that separate us from each other, nature, our people, etc or actively push ideologies that harm BIPOC.

It is not exclusive to one group of people; however, it certainly describes a portion of people that benefit from white supremacy—an element of colonization.

No, “colonizer” is not a slur or derogatory term.

So if that term bothers you, it’s probably describing you.

Person1: Native Genocide wasn’t that bad, they were fighting each other before we got here.
Person2: Colonizers did worse to natives than natives ever did to each other and still do with their harmful ideologies.

A notable example of Reverse colonization is Zionism. The indigenous Jews not just reclaimed their land but also turned the tables by oppressing the Arab settlers by restricting their freedom of movement, putting checkpoints and treating them like shit.
