Filey rules

When you’re playing a game and you are operating outside of the official rules of a game, or when the rules are being made up as you go along. This is known as Filey rules.

Player A: The taxes go to free parking and whoever lands on it can collect the cash !
Player B: That’s not the real rules of Monopoly
Player A: Yeah but we’re playing Filey rules

Reverse Rooney Rule

When you bring in a qualified balding or greying white male to interview for a job you know you have to fill with a woman or a minority, in order to ensure the whole day is taken up by interviews.

Steve has an interview on Friday but he knows he has no shot at getting the job. They're bringing him in to fulfill the Reverse Rooney Rule so their calendars appear full.

Gold-Plated Rule

Have done to you what you would have done to others.

This rule explains how you should only support what you would want to be done to you in the same situation. For example: only support the limiting of speech if you want your speech to be limited.

The Gold-Plated Rule would posit that those who get others banned from social media will be banned from social media.

The Clown Rule

A rule created by dudes for dudes, stating that he who attempts to hide something (mostly in regards to a female) they deserve any and all clowning until they own up to what they are doing. The rule is contingent on when somebody is hiding something they know is wrong, but everyone around them knows the truth. Once a dude owns up to what he is doing, and is both honest with himself and others, the clown rule becomes null and void because of how inherently not funny it is to clown on somebody who is open and honest. Unless you squat on the toilet with your feet on the seat, in which case - don't ever tell your bros something like that. Keep that to yourself. No amount of honesty can prevent the absolute clowning you will endure.

Guy 1:"Dude, George told us that all he does is hang out with you and play video games. He didn't even mention egg."
Guy 2:"Bro what?? I never see that kid. He is ALWAYS with egg."
Guy 1:"Maeby literally told me the other day that he doesn't ever see you, and he just went and told everyone that all he does is hang out with the dudes, no mention of egg whatsoever."

Guy 2:"Holy shit man. I think it's time to enact The Clown Rule."
Guy 1:"Meh, I guess so. I never thought we would ever have to on George, but he has given us no choice. He is Pussy Whipped beyond measure."

The Pickle Rule

The pickle rule is this, "If you lie, you die”.

Kevin clearly lied to everyone's faces, thus Gru immediately smote him where he stood. Kevin didn't follow the pickle rule, even though the rule was clear.

“It’s a Small World” Rule

A rule stating that while riding the Its a Small World ride at any Disney park, your party must participate in a deep, serious, and meaningful conversation that lasts the duration of the ride. During the conversation you must be truthful and you cannot refuse to answer anything.

“You can’t lie to me while we’re on this ride because of the “It’s a Small World” Rule.”
