Grand Theft Auto IV (also known as GTA IV or GTA 4) is the upcoming eleventh installment, and first in the fourth generation, of the Grand Theft Auto video game franchise, announced for release by Rockstar Games in 2007 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.1 The game is set in a redesigned Liberty City in the year 2007.
