Confederate Canuck Complex (CCC)

A condition where you act American, think Western, vote Conservative, feel betrayed by Ottawa… and then whisper, “But I’m a real Canadian” while polishing your rifle next to a maple leaf flag and a framed copy of the Charter.
"He’s got a lifted truck, a ‘Don’t Tread on Me’ bumper sticker, won’t shut up about Wexit, but still cries over Tim Hortons commercials — textbook Confederate Canuck Complex (CCC)."

Conformie™

A Conformie™ is a person who adopts the appearance and language of radical individuality while unconsciously participating in a socially sanctioned group identity.

Driven more by the need to belong than by conviction, Conformies mimic the aesthetics and talking points of rebellion — not because they deeply believe in them, but because those behaviors offer approval, status, and emotional safety within their chosen subculture.

Though they often claim to reject the mainstream, they unknowingly conform to a pre-approved, algorithm-shaped version of “rebellion” that has already been branded, monetized, and absorbed into popular culture.

Common behaviors:
• Echoing trending political phrases without questioning them
• Performing identity, activism, and spirituality for clout or community points
• Shaming non-conformity while claiming to fight for freedom
• Confusing curated self-expression with personal evolution
• Mistaking algorithmic behavior for authenticity

Core trait:

Groupthink disguised as individuality.

Tagline:

“They think they’re rejecting the system… but they are the system.”

The term Conformie™ was created by artist and cultural critic Valerie King to describe the illusion of nonconformity within modern groupthink culture…
1. “I thought she was a free thinker, but turns out she’s just another Conformie™ trying to fit in with the discourse of the week.”
2. “It’s wild how many Conformies™ think they’re anti-establishment while quoting the same five Instagram therapists.”
3. “Once he started policing everyone’s language at the open mic, I knew he’d gone full Conformie™.”
4. “That whole event was just a Conformie™ convention — same outfits, same talking points, same hollow vibe.”
5. “You’re not rebelling, you’re just being a Conformie™ with better branding.”

confuckulations

When your buddy messes up a task they were overly confident in completing successfully. Or a buddy messes up a easy task.
friend 1: I can do a backflip, (back flips and lands on his head)
friend 2: Confuckulations!
