Second-Year Syndrome

Second-Year Syndrome is when a second or later-year student becomes disillusioned with studying and with universities in general. They have lost the momentum of high-school, the excitement of first-year, and cannot see an end to their degree coursework. Students who suffer from Second-Year Syndrome usually either drop out entirely, or stop trying to gain those elusive High Distinctions, and do as little as possible to Pass.

5 Seconds of Summer

5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) are an Australian band (not in the same category as boyband because they're all talented as shit as far as instruments) that consists of Luke Hemmings (vocals/guitar), Calum Hood (vocals/guitar), Michael Clifford (backing vocals/guitar), and Ashton Irwin (drums). Schoolmates Luke, Calum, and Michael formed 5sos in 2011, and Ashton was later added. They are the opening act for One Direction on the Take Me Home North American leg. Now, I could go all day about my feels and how much it hurts but I'll keep it at this: these boys are sex. their music is keeps me jamming. cake for life.

7 seconds

7 Seconds are a hardcore punk band from Reno, Nevada. Formed in 1979 by brothers Kevin Seconds and Steve Youth and playing their first show on March 2, 1980. 7 Seconds is well known for bringing positive ideals into hardcore punk and are considered "living legends" by many people in the underground punk scene. They helped along the Straight Edge Youth Crew movement in the 80's Hardcore scene. They have released numerous albums since 1981, including The Crew, Walk Together, Rock Together, New Wind, Good to Go and the recently released Take It Back, Take It On, Take It Over. In the late 1980's, the band began to grow musically as they explored other sounds. Critics of this switch to more complex and slower music often compared the band to U2. Albums from this period include the Praise EP, Ourselves, and Soulforce Revolution. However, the band has since returned to their hardcore punk roots where they can claim more of a following. They also appeared on the 1985 hardcore compilation Cleanse the Bacteria. The band is still recording music and touring the United States, Europe, and Japan to this day.

The band's name is a reference to the seven-second tape delay in U.S. radio broadcasting.

Trivially, 7 Seconds covered German pop artist Nena's hit song 99 Red Balloons on their second album, Walk Together, Rock Together.

'We're gonna fight' by 7 Seconds is featured on Tony Hawks American Wasteland.
