A group of three or more cars on the highway or interstate that are all trying their best to pass the slower vehicle(s) in front of them. These brigades tend to spawn around construction areas, one lane highways, or behind other traffic going the speed limit in the left most lane. Retard brigades will stop at nothing to pass you and will often tailgate and cut off other drivers to achieve their goals of getting stuck behind the next group of vehicles going the speed limit.

broadcast mode

when you raise your voice to monopolize a conversation and talk over the other person/people you are with...like a television or radio announcer who broadcasts information because they know their audience can't respond, someone in broadcast mode just talks "at" you or over you, with no regard for your thoughts or response.

We were at a networking event and one of the attendees was in broadcast mode all night. She was so rude never let anyone get in a word edgewise.

Like the Naval manoeuvre, a broadside is a cockblock executed by a Wingman in which they approach a target in a social setting, unleashing an arsenal while passing thus rendering the target dead in the water.

Wingman sent in to broadside guy doing well at a bar:
