The North Shore of Staten Island. It houses cultural diversity, various outlets for entertainment, and the Staten Island Ferry. Some claim that it is dirty and poor, but the said people are usuially from the South shore, and are naturally inclined to hate diversity.

Some of the North Shore's best assets include The Snug Harbor Cultural Center, Clove Lakes Park, The Staten Island Ferry, and Borro Hall Park. Borro is a meeting place for youth who are more inclined to listen to rock music, play hacky sack, and talk about whatever.

Down the shore

A term that some people from New Jersey and the Philly-area use to mean "going to the beach for a vacation." For some reason, it really irks many people, myself included. I go to the beach! And then, once I'm at my beachhouse, I go on the beach! It's quite simple, really. I think rich people from Philly invented this term when they would go to Ocean City in summers. And I guess if I had to use it, I would use it in relation to Seaside or Point Pleasant, but certainly not Long Beach Island (the best beach ever, cough cough). LBI is most definitely the beach!

Old lady or Philiadelphian or annoying person: Oh, are you going down the shore next week?

Me: ummm... Yeah we're going to the BEach. (forced smile).

1) u do drugs

3) you think failing is cool, cause it is
4) you know at least 3 michaels

5) you have sent nudes once in ur life whether u admit it or not
6) u go to sports events not to see the sport but just to watch it
7) u eat at pezzi pizza
8) when u live by E3
9) when they mistake a pressure cooker for a bomb
10) when ur always on the news cause ur just that awful of a school
11) when u find racial slurs in the boys room and go on a man hunt for whoever it is
12. When u get in a cat fight over a jersey number
