Not old enough to be millennials while able to remember plenty of time before the smartphone/skinny jean era that took hold in 2013. The years 2008-2012 were their heyday as they were in middle school/early high school. Zillennials also reached their 20's before the 2010's were over. They don't really associate with the gloomy/nihilistic/technology-centric culture of Gen Z and cling to older generations' interests as they lack their own unique identity.
If you're too young for a millennial but can still miss the days of baggy jeans, Aeropostale hoodies, and the 2000's-early 2010's internet, then you're a zillennial.
