Wikipediatrics

Tinkering with wikipedia with the end goal of winning an argument.

Teacher 1: My student handed in a paper that said that Martin Luther King Jr. was actually white.
Teacher 2: Did he source his facts?
Teacher 1: Yeah, to wikipedia.
Teacher 2: I'm scoping right now, and it looks like he's correct.
Teacher 1: Oooh. I suspect some wikipediatrics are at play here.

wikipediatrician

A wikipediatrician is someone who thinks the decisions they make are the best for their child, without doing any substantial research on the given issue.

It combines the words Wikipedia and pediatrician, the pediatrician part mockingly implies an expertise in children.

The wikipedia part implies the scarce amount of actual research they did on the subjects they claim to know a lot about, also implying the reliability of the sources used (if any are used).

Karen did not vaccinate her children because she was convinced vaccines caused autism, she is such a wikipediatrician

Wikipedian

adj. To have a limited understanding of a topic, as if one's knowledge of the subject is entirely informed from Wikipedia.

I have only a wikipedian understanding of genetic engineering.

Wikipedian

Someone who only believes something is real if it's on Wikipedia. It is a totally legit religion and not at all made up to win an argument.
