Paperless Debate

CX debate, or policy debate that has transferred to laptops instead of tubfulls of paper. while it might be convenient, it totally undermines the originality and spirit of cx debate because as of now, most teams haven't totally gone paperless, which makes viewing evidence hard if you don't have a laptop and they can't flash evidence to you

I wish cx isn't transferring to paperless debate. Tubs all the way

digital paperweight

Although the website had a visually stunning design and captivating images, it was ultimately a digital paperweight since visitors couldn't do anything beyond reading the provided information. It lacked any interactive features or transactional capabilities, rendering it an aesthetically pleasing but functionally limited online presence.

The website was nothing more than a digital paperweight, offering beautiful visuals but no interactive features or practical functionalities for visitors.

In competitive policy debate, paperless-atization means to take your old paper debate files and scan and format them such that they can be used in paperless debate.

Debate Coach: "So have you guys done all of your reformatting so that we can switch to paperless next year?"
Debaters: "Oh no, but we'll do all of our paperless-atization this week."

papered

Past tense of throwing rolls of toilet paper over a house, tree, yard, car, and other personal property/belongings. Typically conducted by one's team/squad/mates under cover of darkness such as 1 to 3 am.

True friends will sometimes drop by early the next morning to call your attention to the fact you've been papered, laugh about it, deny being the paperer and perhaps even help you pull it down out of the 386 foot oak tree in the front yard.

Is oddly perpetrated against true friends and universally loathed personages. Casual acquaintences are never papered.

Also: Wrapped, streaked (as in 'the roll streaked over the roof')

Between movies we cruised out and papered Dave's house, the best part was when it rained later.

We papered the Sheriff's house last night, that guy is such a tool.

We wrapped the shit outta Rachel's place last night. We even used their hose to wet it all down.
