pager code

Back in the 90's when pagers were made available to a younger generation, a code was created where numbers were assigned to represent letters so that messages could be passed using this code.

Each letter was represented using a number or combination of numbers. Some number definitions varied but this is just one basic breakdown:

A = 8
B = 8
C = 6
D = 0
E = 3
F = 4
G = 6
H = 4
I = 1
J = 7
K = 15
L = 7
M = 177
N = 17
O = 0
P = 9
Q = 0
R = 12
S = 5
T = 7
U = 11
V = 11
W = 111
X = 25
Y = 4
Z = 2

There was often a lot of confusion with messages.

A corporate term for a document of no more than one page but containing approx 30 pages of data but squashed in, with small type font, so that no one can read it or interpret it anyway!

pidger

Some one who lives in a village, or small town with a very low population, very basic shops and is next to a lake or resevoir. A perfect example of a place where a pidger comes from is Rudyard Lake. Pidgers can also be refered to as "Pidge Pidgers"
Most famous pidger is MR Alcock

Podgerer

The part of a clipper/swan or similar cigarette lighter which holds the flintwheel. This can be removed and is used for packing down/inserting a roach into the end of a joint.
