Evolved from planking, owling is the sitting on a random object/surface in a perched position, taking a picture of oneself and posting in on the internet.

onlingo

This term describes the many abbreviations and acronyms that are used when people converse over the internet, i.e. online lingo.

Examples of onlingo:

rofl - roll on floor lauging

afk - away from keyboard

ppl - people

nvm - never mind

Please refrain from using onlingo on this site, as we have many international users who are not familiar with this.

My dad has started to use onlingo in texts! Really surprised me when he wrote OMG! - i was like OMG!

Midnight Owling

1. Akin to being a "night owl", this describes an altered state of being wherein one is rescued from the brink of exhaustion in the waning hours of the evening. This usually happens in the full knowledge that the affected party must be up early the next morning.

2. One's "second wind" utilized during the wee hours of the morning.

I was gonna go to bed early, but I felt my midnight owling comin' on.

To stay up all night, texting/talking with another until someone stops making sense because of how sleepy they become.

When two people are owling a lot throughout a course of time, they are termed owl partners
