Get the nerble mug.One who has little experience and little skill. Originally a contraction of the phrase "new blood," it is not necessary an insulting term, although the derivative noob is almost always used in a negative sense.

Get the newbie mug.Something beyond the normal geekiness or nerdiness which needs to be emphasized with further word length (i.e. "nerdy" is too short for something so geeky). Can also be used in "geekie".

Get the Nerblet mug.Usually very ignorant. Gets into Metal through bands like Slipknot. They start feeling cool and unique and need to express how Metal is the supreme genre.
How to spot one
1) Says a guitarist isn't good if they can't play fast.
2) Says a guitarist isn't good if they can't play technical.
3) Blasts Metal on their iPods thinking someone will ask them what they are listening to so they can show off how awesome they think their musical taste is to others.
4) Tries to introduce you to Metal by telling you all bands you like suck.
5) Thinks all bands that aren't Metal have no talent.
6) Doesn't know what good Metal vocals are.
Newbie Metalheads usually smarten up, they usually take up guitar and realize that speed isn't everything. Wanting to compose music they go through the tons of influences of their influences and from there they go to their influences which leads them into lots of music which isn't Metal. Then they become people who are open to tons of music, having liked music that is condemned by most people.

Get the newbie metalhead mug.Portmanteau of "newbie" and "attention": Attention given to a newbie of a forum, online game, club, group, etc., by an experienced member; usually in the form of support, praise, positive feedback, mentoring, or other active measures to help the newbie fit in and gain experience quickly. Being "newbietentive" is a lot like watching over a younger sibling, while being the newbie in this situation can feel like being the younger sibling. Can sometimes have romantic connotations, depending on the context.
"Romantic newbietention" can be considered a common theme in anime -- such as when a character is attracted to a new student at school, a new member of a club, etc., and, because of this, goes out of their way to help them. Often the more experienced member is attracted to the person precisely because they are a newbie (the position of newbie can frame someone as innocent or helpless, which some dominant characters like). Romantic newbietention can be split into two different types: In the former, it starts out as newbietention and progresses to romantic attraction; whereas in the latter, it starts out as romantic attraction and manifests itself, or is disguised as, newbietention. Sometimes, even the newbieattentive person is unaware of their romantic attraction towards the newbie.
Related forms: "newbieattentive"; attentive towards a newbie; portmanteau of "newbie" and "attentive".

* "When I signed up to that forum, the moderators greeted me, answered all my questions, and totally went out of their way to help me get involved. They give me a ton of newbietention -- I felt like their little sister."
* A great example of "romantic" newbietention (when an experienced member is newbieattentive because they are attracted to the newbie) is "Ouran High School Host Club" -- Tamaki's constant attention and mentoring towards Haruhi near the beginning of the series borders on, and is perceived as, romantic attraction; also, the other five members take care of Haruhi like a sister, which is an example of normal newbietention. Another example of the romantic kind is Takayuki Utsunomiya's attraction to Mira Munakata in "Papa To Kiss In The Dark".
Note: The concept of "romantic newbietention" is something you can sense intuitively.
