Get the heckonomics mug.A metal act from Oslo, formed by Pagefire host Andri Sigfussen. It originally started out as a solo project that merged Nintendocore—a genre that merges chiptune with either post-hardcore, metalcore, extreme metal, or just hardcore punk and/or heavy metal in general—with melodeath and power metal, but since Andri became more accepting towards Nintendocore, it became a band with two other members of Pagefire.
Their eponymous debut album, as well as their first EP "Metalwaves" and first single "Water Temple in My Dreams" were all recorded as Andri's side project from Pagefire, while their second single "Race of Life" was released as a full band.
Currently, the line-up of the band includes, also listing the three from Pagefire rather than excluding them:
1. Anne-Line Hovind (lead vocals)
2. Andri Sigfussen (lead guitar + songwriting)
3. Martin Langebraaten (rhythm guitar + unclean vocals)
4. Alexander Flygel (bass)
5. Tobias Lyseggen (drums + mixing)
Their music is usually themed after both video games and external references. The original demonstration song, which was later the opening track to Nekonomicon's self-titled album, "Those Creatures from Ganon Are Pretty Bad," was themed after Zelda, and a few others (Mario, the Konami code, lootboxes/"surprise mechanics," etc.) while the second track of the album, and my personal favorite, "Ghost Maze Project," is themed after Pac-Man and even features a sick S L A P P bass solo.

Nekonomicon SLAMS! Finally, a Nintendocore band I can listen to while having Scar Symmetry and Keldian on my mind.
Also kinda reminds me of Epica since they have a female lead singer...
