A state of depression induced by pressing the square right next to the one you meant to press, resulting in a lost game. (often experienced when playing minesweeper on a touchscreen)

A trait that is only present in individuals not capable of the simple point-and-click interface that the computer is based on or counting up to 5. Individuals that show this trait are usually no smarter that a 2 year old ape, although in some studies 2 year old apes can sucessfully play minesweeper. This game is most often played in computer class by individuals who recognize the stupidity of having a class teach students to use a computer.

Emotional Minesweeper is a situation in which you are unable to predict how a person will react to your actions or statements. To avoid putting someone in Emotional Minesweeper, evaluate whether or not they could have predicted that their words or actions would have hurt you. It's generally safer to ask if they have relevant context, and explain how you feel to them in a way they can understand. Generally, if people know how you feel and why you feel that way, they will do their best to be supportive and respectful. More often than not, people don't know they're doing anything wrong.

a game first introduced on windows 3.1 as a replacement for the game "Reversi" in 1992 where a player clicks a square that either has a mine or has nothing under it. the square, if it has no mine might have a number anywhere from 0 to 8
(0 being an empty square) representing how many mines are near that square. if you click a mine the game ends. if you know where a mine is you can flag that tile to make sure you dont click that mine, if you successfully flag all mines the game ends and you win.
