You are hangry if you are so hungry that you are actually getting angry. When people are suffering from hunger pangs they tend to be rather grouchy. When they still delay eating and someone is actually impeding their access to food either on purpose or incidentally they react in a confusing, often unwarranted verbal assault.

Man, I'm so hangry anything would make me fly off the handle right now.
