the process of sending out multiple friend requests in a short time period, typically using one friends list as a treasure trove. This is usually done at night on facebook, using the network page or a popular friend as a jumping off point for multiple requests to many people that you might/might not know.

"How did you get that hot girl on ur friends list?" -Jim
"I go friending all the time using the school network" -bob
"Awesome, maybe I should sit at home and annoy people i barely know too!"-Jim

"I met all these girls by going friending in my spare time"

frienting

A relationship that is aiming for more than friendship but still has not met the dating phrase-- its like dating without commitment and little, if any, serious DTRs (defining the relationship). You don't date a "frient"---you hang out.

Because of the lack of commitment, you cannot cheat if you are only frienting.

We both seem to know we like each other but we haven't moved past frienting yet.

A term for friending anyone and anything on Facebook. Usually these rampages occur when drunk or high and home alone. It also helps if the one being friended has a hot profile picture.
