"Snarky" is used to describe speech with a specific emotional tone, typically a form of sarcasm informed by cheekiness and a mild, playful irreverence or impudence. When the dominant intent of the communication is to express or convey direct or judgmental rudeness, the sense of mild cheekiness is lost and the overall communication crosses the line to become "snide."

The young music reviewer's snarky comments about the aging rock star's choice in clothing ultimately cost her an interview with the star months later.

When one sneezes and breaks wind at the same time. It is usually a result of the sudden abdominal muscle contractions associated with supporting the diaphragm for the sneeze, thus triggering the fart.

When she snarts, I don't know whether to say "God Bless You" or "Run like hell".

1. Frankly incredible mash up of noise, jungle, shouting, breaks, unidentified breaking objects and Stevie Wonder on ketamine driving at 400mph down the M1 projectile vomiting to the sound of his own music played at 10 times the normal speed. Venetian Snares has managed to capture the essence of some of the world's most violent massacres and translate them into a whole funk collector's collection worth of number one break core hits! Absolutely imperative listening.
