A specific type of retaliation from a narcissistic person for exposing them, ignoring them, going no contact, simply saying no, thereby triggering their narcissistic tendencies etc. The narcissistic person may engage in a a smear campaign, stonewalling or even a physical attack in retaliation.

What you'll likely suffer if you significantly displease Mr. Butler.

Gone With The Wind is chock-full of sordid drama and intrigue; many of the tale's characters behave very selfishly and irresponsibly, and are appallingly vengeful whenever things don't go their way. So to lessen my own chances of encountering "rhettaliation" from arrogant folks like this; I try my best to always behave myself and not offend anyone.
