A person's realization that they are smart enough to realize that they are being screwed over in their current work/social situation, but an unwillingness to take steps to improve it.

After being yelled at for a sixth time for showing up to his minimum wage job, the recent college graduate went to his work station and felt a deep-rooted sense of outrage, before his intapathy towards the situation set in.
