Fainites

1960s North London (UK) playground slang/shout used to opt out of a game temporarily, or to prevent yourself being tagged in a game. Often it is accompanied be crossing the fingers and the arms in front of your chest and standing still.

The call can also be used to suspend a whole game temporarily, for example when an adult walks across a football pitch

Said to be derived from the Old English "Fain would I..." or "I do not want to..."

"I was about to be tagged, but I shouted "fainites" so he went on and tagged someone else."

"I was just about to boot the ball when an old lady walked across the playground and someone shouted "fainites".

A teeny little innocent sounding fart with a large odiferous impact. Derived from the Baby Face Finster chararcter in Bugs Bunny cartoons, a ruthless criminal disquise as a cute little baby.

Sinister Finister

A one downin' fool you might encounter at your friend's mamma's house. Usually found lookin for purple stuff in the fridge on his way down to the basement where he might try to play uriah heep bass lines and poke holes in your rubbers.

Dude, if you can't already tell from the easy livin' riff, sinister finister is downstairs. I think he broke your dad's treadmill and oh yeah, you might want to double wrap your pickle if stacey is comin' over later.

A place that middle-high school students (largely males) go to get high. It was burned down by the Keating Klan during the winter of 2006. The creators of Camp Finter are currently trying to rebuild it.
