Eli Rust Theory

An informal term used to describe a recurring pattern in which Eli, after discovering a video game he genuinely enjoys, becomes highly engaged with it to the point that it dominates his leisure time. During this period, he is unlikely to play alternative games and tends to decline invitations to switch until his interest naturally shifts.

Ever since Eli started Arc Raiders, he hasn’t touched anything else—The Eli Rust Theory is in full effect.

Ring rust

You also have to consider this as a concept. "Ring Rust" is term for Human aptitude diminishing as the result of a skill set not being applied over as set of time. If I am not continually or continuously performing a task, my ability to perform said task diminishes over time. Consider a knife. If you use a knife the blade dulls and it, therefore, needs to be sharpened. But AS you use the knife your ability to use the knife increases over time. If you stop using knife for an extended period of time, it will develop rust and dull as the natural and your ability to USE the knife will also diminish.

1. A statement that is used to discourage a person from disappointment as a result of unrealistic expectations. The origin of which comes from the Rustlers Burgers alluring sales pitch, only to be terribly disappointed as you bite into a soggy-bunned nuclearly calcified burger!

2. A statement that can also be an implication of an unhealthy dose of scepticism.

Guy one: " Hey man I'm going to quit smoking, stop getting drunk and hit the gym!"

Guy two: " Man, as if, get a rustlers ya dick!"
