Anchor posting

Anchor posting is when someone with a problematic and or controversial accounts (usually far right ) posts something on the other side of the spectrum, pandering to a more moderate thus acceptable position so their accounts won’t get banned, making the sense of the word as putting an anchor so the ship won’t detach and get lost.
“You saw his post condemning the nazi regime i thought he was a fascist himself”

“Yeah, he doesn't actually believe that, he’s just Anchor posting so his account won’t get banned this time”

anchoring effect

The anchoring effect is a psychological phenomenon in which an individual's judgments or decisions are influenced by a reference point or "anchor" which can be completely irrelevant, e.g. the status symbol gained by owning an iPhone on your hand.
With anchoring effect, if a person sees a luxury item priced high first, they may perceive a subsequent similar item as a bargain, even if the latter is still expensive.

Anchor Lazy

(adj.) Someone who stays dependent or immobile not because they can’t move on, but because it’s easier not to. A person financially capable of independence yet emotionally or administratively stuck — often lacking job history, credit, or initiative.
