Retard, now dubbed "the R-slur" is a word used to call somebody stupid. A retard is also somebody who is mentally challenged and is not very smart. Both uses can get you in trouble.

This word was dubbed "the R-slur" by the snowflakes on the internet who got called a retard too many times, so they wanted to make everyone think it was a terribly offensive word, almost as bad as the N-word.

Bob: Jim, you put the ball in the wrong goal! You retard!
