school retreat 

Something that Catholic schools view as a fun activity but half of it is just boring as crap. You have to attend mass and confession, which can be considered to be a really good time to sleep. The upside though is you get to do a bunch of stuff that's fun.

School Lockdown 

A threat affecting certain school environments. It could be minor, or serious. A minor one would allow class to continue, on the condition that no one can leave the room. A serious one could mean there's imminent danger, and you need to be hidden, quiet, and vigilant. They're always to be taken seriously, because you never know if it's a false alarm or not.

Man, I still can't believe this damn place called a school lockdown cuz a toilet broke.
