Le wrong generation

A term used to ridicule people who believe they were "born in the wrong generation" just because they listen to classic rock, play old video games, watch television shows/movies released before they were born and wear clothing worn in past decades. They bemoan the generation they live in, stereotyping everyone in it as rude, narcissistic, smartphone-addicted, EDM-loving clowns, while claiming that the "good old days" were far better.

"Le wrong generation" people actually think they are superior for preferring things made before their time, despite the fact that everyone on Earth enjoys things from decades ago and that every decade has low points. They display hypocrisy by stating that they'd rather have grown up in the 50s, 60s, 70s, etc. before the rapid advancement of modern tech, yet rely on YouTube for the music they listen to and social media for submitting their views.

This group of people also includes "90s kids", i.e. people who spent much of their childhood in the 1990s. These guys whine on and on about how better their childhoods were in comparison to the ongoing childhoods of today's kids, recycling the same example over and over: "We actually played outside! We used our imaginations!" Again this is hypocrisy, as many kids of the 1990s stayed inside to watch TV and play video games, while today's kids DO still play outside. We just don't notice them because we're older and no longer hanging around the playgrounds that kids play in.
"I hate my generation. I wish I was born in the late 50s, so I could grow up with The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Queen. Back when music was actually good."
"Dude... check out Porcupine Tree and Muse. They both kick ass."
"Nah, they probably suck bro, all the best music was back in the good old days. Why can't today's musicians make music like that? Music died when Kurt Cobain died! Now all we have is Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, One Direction, Nicki Minaj and Kanye West!"
"Looks like you were born in le wrong generation."

"I wish I lived in a time before technology."
"So you'd rather cook a meal over a fire?"
"No, I mean computers and social media, back when people actually talked to each other."
"Then why are you on Facebook?!"

"Today's kids suck! When I was a kid I played outside in the rain and used my imagination. All of today's kids just play video games."
"What about the PlayStation 1 and Nintendo 64?"
"...Well yeah, but we weren't addicted to them! Not like today's kids!"

Generic Festival T-Shirt

When you go to a music or other festival, you will usually see people wearing a few different types of t-shirts. There will be several t-shirts (usually event t-shirts) that are the same at almost every festival you go to, hence they are common or generic to the festival. These hark back to the uniform wearing days of the festival going punter.
Yo, check out the dudes with their Generic Festival T-Shirts, must've hit up the merch tent together. How cute.

Generation Fail

In a time where any kind of information about anything can be found within seconds via the internet, there is no way to do anything right, there are only different degrees of fail to any particular action.

and one cannot argue that he or she did not know about the negative effects of their actions, they were just to lazy to look them up.
generation fail also describes the lack of this generation to come up with any new original ideas or thoughts
Being a vegetarian to save the environment but buying vegetables in PLASTIC boxes and eating them with PLASTIC forks

degrassi: the next generation

A Canadian show that follows up the original 80's Series, Degrassi Junior High. Some nicknames for this show are: DTNG; D:TNG; and sometimes just plain Degrassi. In Canada, it is aired on CTV, while in the US, it is aired on The-N (Also known as Noggin). This show takes place a Degrassi Community School in Canada, and talks about teenage issues such as: sexuality, abusive relationships, abusive families, cutting, drugs, and more. The show started airing in 2001, and is currently airing and filming.

However, due to these very dramatic teenage issues, The N has editted some small changes that CTV hasn't:
1) In "Whisper to a Scream", they did not show Ellie cutting her arm.
2) Craig sniffing coke in front of Manny
3) Manny's thong in "U Got The Look" was lowered so it didn't show as much
4) JT getting stabbed, and blood running down his shirt

The N has recently aired "Accidents Will Happen", which was never aired on The N until the "Every episode Ever" marathon, due to the plot, which involves abortion. Many Americans were outraged, but now they air it regularly.
Degrassi: The Next Generation is one of the most awesome shows I've ever watched before!

Generation Zalpha

A Micro Generation that is between Gen Alpha and Gen Z. The dates range from 2010-2012. They are a mix of both generations, this term was also made because no one can decide on when Gen Alpha starts and where Gen Z ends.
Person 1: Hey, I think I'm Gen Z right? I mean this source says so?
Person 2: You're wrong, my source says something different, we're Gen Alpha.
Person 3: You guys are on the cusp, therefore you are Generation Zalpha, between Z and Alpha!

Simp General

The leader of a legion of Simps.

She’s at the command of thousands of white-knights and desperate men, who’ll do anything to protect their queen. They’re ready 24/7 to drown her in complements or swarm her with donations. In return she’ll maybe say their name if they’re really lucky, but the simps know all too well they shouldn’t expect to get anything back from her in return for their service.

You’ll find these Generals on platforms such as Instagram, Twitch and TikTok, along with their army.

Examples of famous Generals: Addison Rae, Madison Beer, Pokimane and Ava Rose
Wow, Madison Beer really has an impressive army. She’s the biggest Simp General out there.

Dude, look at that Simp General over there. She just received a 3k donation and didn’t even react or say thanks to her Simp.

I wonder whose army would win in a battle between those two Simp Generals.
