A form of debate developed due to the flaws with Public Form and Lincoln Douglas Debate. The format is slightly different in a sense that there is an inherant Value and Value Criterion. The Value is "Crispyness" and the Value Criterion is "Jeffersonism".

Messina-Genaro Debate is far more crispy than LD and PF.

To give one who is ashamed of the "taboo" basting act an opportunity to undo or "debaste" the basting that has been done. A.K.A. Capitalizing on the basting economy with debasting.
