Internet Day

An internet day is a day on which you can use the internet.

For most people, every day is an internet day, so the term is useless. However, when you cannot afford a monthly internet subscription, and you have to buy internet on a day by day basis, the term takes on a whole new meaning.

Flatmate 1: Oh did you hear about .....?
Flatmate 2: No?
Flatmate 1: Google it.

Flatmate 2: It's not an internet day...

Ivy Day

Ivy Day is the day when all eight Ivy League colleges (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Penn, Brown, Dartmouth, and Cornell) release their regular decision admissions results. This day is usually scheduled in late March or early April. The colleges usually release their decisions around the same time as well (typically from 5:00 to 7:00 PM EST).

In 2021, Ivy Day was on April 6.

I got served eight rejections in a row on Ivy Day.

International Beer Day

An excuse for people who like holiday and drinking to have a drunken day off in the holiday-less month of August. People internationally gather to drink beer (not necessarily international beer) on August 5th and practice the art of Beer it Forward.

My favorite holiday is International Beer Day, because it involves more beer and less ugly sweaters than Christmas.
