Clinical depression

Also referred to as major depressive disorder, major depression, unipolar disorder or simply depression, this illness is a psychiatric condition marked by severe feelings of despondency and dejection, typically accompanied by changes in eating and sleeping habits, anhedonia (loss of interest), fatigue, somatic pain and, at the extreme, suicide ideation. Also occurs in bipolar disorder (depressed phase).

Clinical depression is a serious mental illness and quite different to the ordinary sadness we all experience from time to time.

Post Festival Depression

More commonly known as PFD; Post Festival Depression is the total and utter low you experience after a festival, usually whilst travelling home, knowing you wont be there for another year.

Similar to post concert depression, but far more extreme considering the length of time spent in your Nirvana.

What's wrong with you mate?

Oh just Post Festival Depression, this weekend was amazing I actually can't believe I have to wait another year to be there again.

Post gig depression

The soul crushing feeling you get after a gig. You feel your heart aches for the band you have seen live and the emotional pain that comes with listening to the bands music makes you want to break down and cry. Huge desire to relive the concert. Stops you concentrating and you suddenly realise you're thinking of the gig all the time. No event in life can live up to the concert. Can last up to 2 weeks or even more. Relapses frequent. Jealousy of others having better gig experiences than you.

Sarah: i can't stop thinking about -band-
Jack: Please don't start talking about them again
Sarah: I love them so much but i can't listen to their music for a while or i'll cry.
Jack: you have post gig depression.

Post-Disney Depression

A condition suffered by diehard Disney park fans after coming home from a Walt Disney World or Disneyland vacation. Feels like something is missing and real life is depressing. There is only one cure; planning another trip, and if that cannot be done the phase will last several weeks, either immediately after arrival home or a short delay after.
Also known as PDD.

After coming home from Florida Jackie called all her coworkers castmembers for two weeks. It must of been a bought of Post-Disney Depression.
