Parkour

A sport in which you get from point A to point B in the fastest, simplest way possible. Parkour does not include spins, flips, or anything of that matter. Some people get parkour mixed up with tricking which does include spins, flips, and anything of that matter.

Parkour

Parkour has become an infamous word due to the amount of posers and douchey assholes with an ego that's bigger than a hot air balloon. Anyone who says the word sounds incredibly stupid and annoying thanks to the 90% of people who do parkour (the 90% doesn't ACTUALLY do it but they only say they do to be cool) who cant get their heads out of their asses. The other 10% that do parkour because they actually do like it and wish to pursue it as a profession are very respectable and skilled people, and are usually very friendly and sociable. If you can actually do any kind of flip than you are most likely part of the 10% (though flips are actually not included in parkour; free running is where flips come in. It's basically parkour with flips). You know when you've got a douche when he always brags about parkour. A real authentic parkour person will almost never even mention it and will never do any tricks in front of people unless requested to.

Douche: Yeah so I was out doing parkour the other day and im really good at it!

Real Parkour Dude: So i was sitting around playing xbox the other day...

parkour

Parkour (sometimes spelled PK, Pking), Is a sport created in France by Davide Belle and some other people which are now in Yamakasi, The legendary team of the true creators.

Alot of people seem to mix between Free Running and Parkour.The term Free Running is similar to Parkour, Developed by Sebastien Foucan, In Free Running you move your in your way. Although when people say "Hey wanna come Free Running tonight" It means Parkour, But mostly tricking. Sebastien Foucan explains that you should move your own way, And listen to none other but yourself. One doesn't have to listen to anybody.

While Parkour is getting from point A to point B as fast and efficently, As if you are being chased in a city, You have to run fast of course. And again, You are the leader. You listen to no other person but yourself.

To some Parkour is a Sport. They train it in Gyms. To some Parkour is a Discipline, Meaning that they think that when you Parkour, Your brain has to focus and get rid of it's thoughts. If you think parkour as a Discipline (I personally too) you always have to overcome the fear in your mind.

And to some, Its martial Arts.

Also remember that, When one parkours he MUST give respect to his body, to how he moves and of course to his own environment or otherwise the Urban area he is moving in.

RUN LIKE A CAT AND A MONKEY!

Parkour is a very good sport because you only need a pair of trainers and you can already master your moves!
