Have you ever seen a random little kid wearing skinny jeans and trying to grow out his 'side-burns'? (which are totally not there!)

That tries so hard to get that 'Look'?

That says "Oh those Jonas kids are like so gay man, why would you love them?"?

That my friend, is what we call, A JONAS BROTHER WANNABE! This means that a male wants to be just like The Jonas Brothers, A hot, 'In' group that gets all the girls.

Guy: *Wearing skinnies, and has purposely curled hair*

Girl: *Walks past guy laughing hysterically and whispers to friend* He wishes he was a Jonas Brother...

Guy: *Stops Girl* No way man, those guys are like so gay.

Girl: You're a JONAS BROTHER WANNABE!

wannabe

'wannabe', is a slang version of the actual english equivilant - 'want to be'. there are several ways in which the term can be expressed: in example a) someone who wants to be someone else, they may aspire to the person in question's fashion sense (general appearance), ideas, attitude or music. whereas in b) the noun form of wannabe is infact an insult. it is very likely that you would see this in practice on any of the following, an up and coming popstar, a goth, a chav/townie, and sometimes even old spinsters. all of these stereotypical groupings of people will certainly have wannabes among them. a common one i find in everyday life is that of a wannabe goth. these are people who attempt to dress all in black and wear long matrix like jackets with excessive eyeliner and dye their hair a rather pitiful rainbow colour. someone who is a fully fledged and well known goth will have no worries at being called a wannabe; but small insignificant losers that shop in tammy, mk one, b-wise, and other cheap reproduction shops are a very strong form of wannabes. they will buy overly baggy trousers from tammy, teamed up with a tight black top from mk-one - possibly with already fastened on safety pins and shitty fishnet sleeves, then a un-fiied black hoody from b-wise with the logo 'bitch', 'come get me', or my favourite 'punk'. then they will go around the local market picking up inexspensive replicas of spiked chokers, skull earrings and black sweatbands with a cannabis leaf embroided on them. now, after all of this preparation, the 'wannabe goth' in this case goes out with all of their (usually girls) friends and thinks they look 'hard' or 'cool'. well they dont. and basically they will be taunted into submission by older more wiser forms of proper goths, and then eventually turn chav. chavs are often found underneath your shoe in the unfortunate case when you tread in dog shit. but that is another story.

b) ''look at my new 'flares' from tammy, they dont fit me properly and i look really c..BANG'' *they are punched in the face by an agressive chav. what a wanna...BANG'' the chav is punched in the face by a much more pleasant goth.

then all the chavs die.

because they are wannabes.

Wannabe indie

Someone who strives to be a indie/hipster but in reality they don't know anything about the genre or way of life. They claim to know indie music when in reality their main source of indie are websites that feed them what they claim to be the "best indie around". They are constantly harassing their real indie/hipster friends for music seeing as their findings are inadequate. They also claim to dressing indie and try talking about indie to others when they have no actual knowledge about the genre except what they've stolen from a real indie/hipster.

1. wannabe indie/hipster: hey what band is that?

hipster: Thats _______.

(2 days later)

wannabe indie/hipster: Hey! I downloaded all of their albums!

Hipster: Wow, You're such a wannabe.

When you see someone comment on your post that you made on tiktok (particularly a namjoon or yoongi fan) and they say "you wanna see something funny?" that's when to ditch your phone and go to a different country or just change everything about you because you messed up once they say that.

a min later "you wanna see something funny?" *looks at their pfp and sees its namjoon stan*

wannabe rocker

Wow... So many of these people. Basically, since being alternative is cool these days, people (especially young teenagers) have started to become wannabe rockers. There a few points to identify these people:

1. Listen to stuff such as Blink 182, or even Busted and McFly, and show off about it like it's so cool and makes them so special.

2. Vanadalises their school bag and sticks loads of mini badges on it.

3. Wears loads of colourful plastic jewellery.

4. Tends to wear black and then a very bright colour clothing.

They do it to be "cool" and it's not amusing.

Anyone who follows all of the above points.
