The Shark

The Shark is the nickname for Washington Nationals outfielder Roger Bernadina. He relentlessly patrols the outfield and attacks every fly ball in his direction. After making a spectacular play or hitting a home run, he puts his hand on top of his head, representing the dorsal fin.

Fan 1: Did you see The Shark last night?
Fan 2: 2 for 5 with a game tying home run in the ninth! Yeah, Roger is the man!
Fan 1: Yeah, he will easily win MVP this year.

Jumping the Shark

The term is actually "jumping the SHARK" referring to the painful last episodes of Happy days in which arthru fonzerelli aka 'the fonze" jumps over sharks on water skis while simultaneously wearing his trademark leather jacket. Jumping the shark occurs when a show has hit and alltime low and has to do something drastic and crazy to maintain its viewers and keep them interested.

Example- Hey did you hear that Sean and Christian are moving troy/ macnamara to LA for the new season of Nip/tuck? Wow I hope there not jumping the shark with that one.

An attractive male, bearing similarities to sharks. Examples of known, handsome sharks are Michael Fassbender (His smile is extremely wide, showing off all his teeth, very much like a shark) and the character Simon form the E4 series Misfits.
A handsome shark is sexy, maybe pale and a little bit bad.
