When one person sends a selfie in a message or messaging app (most commonly snapchat) it is common curtesy for the receiver to send a selfie back in return
Person 1: sends selfie
Person 2: just message back "nice pic"
Person 1: "no selfie? Have some selfie respect!"

When your front camera doesn't work so you have to take pictures with the back end camera not knowing what you look like until after the picture is taken.
Ted: My phone can no longer take pictures using the front camera. I'll just use the back camera and position it right to take this selfie.
Joanne: Stop taking struggle selfies

When you get someone (friend, sibling, child, pet, etc.) to pose in a picture with you so that it does not appear to be a "selfie". But, the purpose is still to take a photo of yourself for social media.
"Look at John. Posted another pic of him and his dog. He's a sneaky selfie addict!"
"Little Jonny..come here and get next your Mommy so I can take a picture of myself for Facebook." Mommy is taking a sneaky selfie.
