aperwork

"Aperwork (n): Work involving extensive copying or pasting; pron. /ˈeɪpərˌwɜrk/. Often used for tasks with heavy duplication, e.g., data entry or repetitive document editing." I thought of it as "Aperwork" as a combination of "aping" ("ape" draws from its informal meaning—imitating or mimicking, as apes are known for copying behaviors.) and "work" —perfect for describing tasks heavy on duplication or copy-pasting.
"I spent all day on aperwork, just copying and pasting numbers into the spreadsheet."
