A type of magical girl costumes originating from Space Patrol Luluco. “
Pretty” comes from Pretty Cure and “Diver” comes from Scuba Diver.
It has skin-tight bodysuits and
bubble helmets. There are three types; Dekorasuuto, Pechidekosuuto, and Nakesuuto.
Pretty Divers can be called “Divas” too.
First is Dekorasuuto. A diva with a helmet and undersuit costume with a (
cute) dress over. With some shoes and/or gloves, and/or a hat/ribbon on top of the helmet. Then you can consider her a Dekorasuuto Diva. It sounds
like Decora-Suit (which makes sense because decora has a lot of stuff on it).
Then there’s Pechidekosuuto. Basically it’s a diva with a jacket, crop top, or either shorts or a skirt on her costume. Add shoes and/or and a hat if you
like. It sounds
like Petit-Decora-Suit (which makes sense because “petit” means small so that makes sense).
And lastly there’s Nakesuuto. It’s basically a diva with no decorations nor
pretty clothes on her. Just a belt and that’s it/all. Having only a skirt or shorts on doesn’t count, but having gloves, boots, and/or a belt does. It sounds
like Naked-Suit (which makes sense because there’s no clothing decorations over the undersuit).
And finally there’s this term/trope. It’s called Hendiva (borrowing “Hen” to transform). Basically it means that a Diva can go from a diver to a traditional magical girl. Examples
will come in another definition.
The other names are just in the sentence example below.
