power violence

A loosely defined sub-style of hardcore which almost completely eschews traditional song structure in favor of an all-out blitz-speed musical attack. More well-known power violence bands include Infest, Spazz, and Scholastic Deth.

That band is more grindcore than power violence, but they use elements of both.

Power Ranger Effect

Describes the phenomenon/process in which one person withdraws from a small organization or group (such as a band or superhero team) and is replaced by another person and repeats until the group is made up of entirely different people.

Such is the case with the Power Rangers, hence the name.

John: "Hey, what ever happened to Jason, Trini, Billy, Zach,
Kimberly and Tommy?"
Jane: "Those power rangers got replaced one by one over
time, thereby experiencing the 'power ranger effect.'"

A term used to determine how mighty and truly powerful one is. The term comes from many anime, but specifically a well known one, "Dragon Ball Z". This term describes how powerful a character is.

GOKU: GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNNGH
VEGETA: His power level's.... 8000... no, it's over nine--
GOKU: RAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!
NAPPA: Vegeta! What does the scouter say about his power level?!
VEGETA: IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAAAND!!!
