Music Banter

A forum made up of people with absolutely no social life, trying to decide whose "record collection" is bigger. This site contains many pretentious biologists so be wary when entering. If you cannot use proper grammar, and have low self esteem avoid at all costs.
Don't forget kids, the higher you post count in Music Banter, the bigger your penis is

Beantown

Slang term used in reference to Boston, Massachusetts. Ironic as you will rarely see people eating beans in Boston. Individuals with intense elitist attitudes may reside here. Also home of the Red Sox, expensive rent, numerous colleges, and crippling traffic.
I went to Beantown today to hang out with people that don't pronounce their R's, are hyper-educated, and/or working class heroes. Good thing they don't actually eat beans here or it would smell terrible.

banter

Highly irritating word used by "people of a certain class" to describe the act of talking to someone who isn't a complete moron and can reciprocate said act. The word is one of about fifteen or so (for instance, "physically", "actually" and "grim") that are used excessively in conversations that do not call for their presence. To use the word "banter" to describe talking to someone, or, worse still, to use it proactively (see below) is a crime of speech and should garnish you a mother-fucker of a kick arse from all those around you who recognise you for the nob you are.
Descriptively: "Yeah, we had a great time last night - sank a few pints and had a bit o' banter..."

Proactively: "Let's go out tonight, sink a few pints and have a bit o' banter!" (note the elevated excitement in the proactive usage, indicated by the exclamation mark)

Canter banter

The act of engaging in verbal competition with another whilst in the vicinity of the city of Canterbury, South East England. Such communication may include insulting the other, or the other's family or friends. When occuring amongst the student population (i.e. those attending Canterbury Christ Church of the University of Kent), it may be used to indicate the unimpressive drinking capability of a certain individual.
Example of Canter banter:
C4 student: "Dude, you can't drink for shit."
University of Kent student: "Oh yeah? Watch me down this jug of Snake Bite... not so big now are ya!"
C4 student: "That's not what your mum said."

Beantown

It's suppose to be a nickname for Boston, MA.
A Major Fail.

Of course many teenagers who live in Boston use it because they think its cool, for some odd reason.
When in reality it make them sound retahded (for the many of you people here who think we all actually talk like that) and makes me question how well our education system really is.
beantown is a stupid name.
