bum era

The time in one's life characterized by a lack of solid income. Common points in bum era include living with your parents and being a broke college kid. Living is cheap. Shopping is cheap. Hanging out is cheap. The value menu is everything.

Bum era no doubt sucks, but years later when you're past it you really develop an appreciation for where you were versus where you are now.

Man, Taco Bell every night, buyin malt liquor, that really was bum era.

A bottle of 4 loko? Man I haven't had one of those since bum era.

Straight Run Bum

In torch applied flat roofing, the guy who doesn’t do anything but straight runs of rolls.
