Most commonly used positively, as a way to describe someone you thought you knew before they reveal themselves.

I thought I knew him, but he turned out to be a ryan.

The quiet, independent, reserved guy who barley breaks a straight face who only truly opens up to very few. If you think you know him, think again. He’s a kind, caring, and a respectable, supportive person who’s wisdom knows no limit. He doesn’t follow the crowd, does his own thing. He might be cold and distant on the outside but is an old soul and a weeb who’s shoulder you can cry on for hours and he’ll listen to every word. I’m talking to you fish boy.

Ryan’s are nice, but sometimes think a lot of themselves. They are nice and great to be in a relationship with. They pretend to be confident, but deep down and side they are different. They will talk to you and see how you are. They pretend like their problems are non-existent and are ladies men. Yes, a Ryan might be very sexual at times and are sometimes horny. They tend to develop early and are great friends later in life.
