Poser

The act of trying to be what one is not, trying to relate and blend with a social group. Usually someone who is alone. Being a poser mostly consists of pretending one likes certain things, and one who acts in those one is trying to impress. It is typical for a poser to be disliked.

That Chris Bouvier is such a poser, pretending to like and do what we like and do, he is so annoying. Like that one time...

Person: Oh...Hey...
Chris: HEY GUYS! Have you played that new awesome video game *talks about game randomly* Yea and like wow everything is so 1-3-3-7 fo sho!
Person: Um...yes...

Poser

A poser is a person that has no goal to accomplish, other than to irritate those around them in desperate pleas and cries for help.

A person can't be a poser if there is nothing to pose as.

A person that is imitating the acts of their idols or someone else that has accomplished the act in their own time (the past).

A person that claims they are something that they know nothing about is not a poser, they are just ignorant. In fact, maybe you should educate them in your spare time instead of reading this deifinition.

A person that is very young and unwilling to be taught the correct ways of their stereotype (hehehe... I love that definition).

Poser

1. Any person who conforms to a fashion statement rather than an ideal or way of life. Most American universities, colleges and secondary schools keep a steady population of poseurs, usually in art classes and libraries. The poser is known to congregate in small groups, usually of their own ilk, or with real punkers or metalheads in an attempt to fit in. The telltale sign of a poseur is their lack of knowledge of music, art and the culture they are pretending to portray. As an example, the roots of the punk rock movement was based more on all out rebellion and an attitude going against the social status quo and morays. In contrast, the poseur holds none of these values, yet will pretend to.

"My advanced ceramics class is chock full of hipster poser fucks. All they do flip their scarves around and talk about going to shows and making out and doing their hair."

"Did you see those two hardcore guys beat the snot out of that poser guy after the show?"
"Yeah, they broke his nose and stole his scarf"
"Serves him right for wearing a scarf in the summer"

poserize

VERB. To poserize is to make oneself a total and complete poser in active, organized, and especially PUBLIC fashion. It's a verb so it's a word denoting concerted action of MAKING oneself a complete poser rather than merely being denoted a poser by others. To poserize oneself, one must go to considerable public effort. One cannot poserize another person, only oneself. To poserize could be termed the act of not merely appearing as a poser, but making oneself a poser in public, to the extent that it is self evident and there is no longer a need to call that person a poser, but instead to point out that they poserized themselves.

Wow Maynard really worked hard to poserize himself didn't he.

Poser

Someone who tries to fit in to a section or label. Basically, they go overboard with what they wear and yet know nothing. (aka surfer posers, skater posers, emo posers ,etc.) they also think that what they where is what those type of people where as well
