Taking a lap

Going for a walk around the bar/club in an attempt to situate yourself, check out points of interests, and scope out where all the attractive people are.

Examples:

Yo dude, wanna grab a beer and take a lap? I saw this really hot girl in a tight dress in the corner by the mini bar when we walked in.

Yo man, where's George at?
I don't know dude. I think he went to do a lap with Scott.

After taking a lap, Mike was able to tell Ashley where the bathrooms and mini bars were.

A phrase used to show that things have gotten better , more interesting or more desirable to one.

From "The Dark Knight":
-Two-Face pauses and takes out his coin-
Two-Face: -showing Joker the good side- You live.
The Joker: Mm-hmm.
Two-Face: -showing the scarred side- You die.
The Joker: Mmm, now we are talking.

talking with his dick out

Origin unknown, but this phrase was recently popularised by Dale Howard from Big Brother 9 in the UK.
It describes someone who makes themselves look stupid when they say certain things. Hence they look stupid(as you would if you talked with your dick hanging out).
Can also often mean that someone has double standards and possibly quite hypocritical behaviour

"Rex is probably taking notes on me anyway, talking with his fucking dick out all the time. I'll be doing something and he'll be doing the same thing all the time so he can't say anything. He's just talking with his dick out *cue Jennifer pointing to Rex across the garden who Dale hasn't spotted yet*

An often newly coined phrase or jingle the mainstream media regurgitates over and over again to pound an idea into our heads. They are often are proven to be false or exaggerations, but by that time everyone's buying it because it's been repeated so many times.

Man, last night on oreilly they were really hammering the talking point that Kerry is a flip-flopper. What a pack of douchebags.
