A show that used to be great. Jon Stewart was always funny, and it had Stephen Colbert as a field reporter. Then, Colbert left and The Daily Show got way too serious. Instead of clever written jokes, Stewart resorted to saying Bush is stupid a million different ways. The show is occasionally funny, just not as good as it used to be. Also, there are people who watch this to get their real news. If you watch it as a comedy program, that's fine(even though it isn't as funny anymore.) If you watch this show to get your news and opinions on things, you should be shot.

The Daily Show used to be great but now it is just average. The Colbert Report is much funnier, watch that.

Generation Y and every generation thereafter.

The ripe for brainwashing crowd generation that gets its news not from newspapers, or even the standard biased NBC, CBS, FOX, ABC, CNN or MSNBC...but from The Daily Show or Saturday Night Live.

These people exist. You know them. Everyone knows them.

The Daily Show Generation Member: Dude...I can't believe Bush orchestrated 9/11. Obama is still cleaning all the mess from Bush. Bush sucks, he's like Hitler and Mussolini. Mussolini was bad right? Wait, he was Italian, but Italians are good - not that anyone's bad...especially Muslisms. I have lots of Muslim friends. I have lots of Black friends, too. I think we should Coexist! I have a bumper sticker on my car that says it...my Black friend said it's cool...Hey did you see the Daily Show last night? I was so high, but I think Jon Stewart REPORTED some news about that speaker lady...what's her name? Isn't it Clinton? Yeah, he said Speaker Clinton was in Afghanistan and she's gonna fix it because she'll talk to the Taliban and then call Obama so that we all know what to do to live in peace. It was awesome. Remember? Anyway, I've gonna vote for Stephen Colbert, seriously!! I know my Grandfather died in WWII and his grandfather died in the Civil war so we could all vote...but it's just one vote! Who cares! Wanna play Halo?

The Daily Show

A fake news show on Comedy Central that was once really quite funny, similar to Weekend Update on SNL. However, it steadily became less and less about general news and on-location segments with crazy people, and instead became more and more about just politics, until it was little more than left wing propaganda and frankly not even remotely funny. This change was largely due to the application of the Jon Stewart formula.

Man1: Do you remember when The Daily Show used to be funny?
Man2: Just barely. I have some very foggy memories in the back of my head of what The Daily Show was like before it started sucking bigtime.
