Executive Procrastination

1. An advanced form of procrastination wherein a specific task is avoided to complete another equally important task.

2. Avoiding something important by doing something equally important, but where time isn't necessarily a factor.
Some examples of 'Executive Procrastination' are:

Avoiding writing an essay by sorting out rent.

Avoiding going to the dentist by going to the gym.

A form of procrastination in which you refrain from doing other work by productively wasting time on only a part of the work you are already doing.

In other words, you are procrastinating by doing work while doing virtually no work.
Boy: What are you doing?
Girl: I have just spent the last hour making my math homework look pretty and neat instead of doing my English homework.
Boy: Wow, at least you're working on something.
Girl: That's productive procrastination for ya.

Pawsitive procrastination

Derived from "positive procrastination". Positive procrastination is when you put off doing an urgent task by doing less urgent activities (such as cleaning, working out, running errands, ect.). Pawsitive procrastination is like positive procrastination, but specifically using pet care/attention activities to avoid work.
My term paper is due tonight but I am engaged in pawsitive procrastination by taking my dog on an extra walk today.
